Hi, I have installed this product and it works great. We are using it to run powerpoint, but within another program called Songshow. The buttons within Songshow to advance the slides are different than the PP standard but I found a guy who wrote a script using Auto Hot Key to emulate those keystrokes so any remote will work within that program's environment. So this remote is doing just what we want it to do. I've often been asked what tools of the trade I recommend. The type of computer you use doesn't matter to me, ... but I highly suggest you get a wireless remote control to advance your slides. (Having no remote looks oh-so sloppy). I also think there's only one real choice. After using a different remote ... for two years, I bought one called Executive Sales Presenter and will never go back. Worth every penny I paid. Finally I don't have to worry about aiming my remote at my infra-red sensor! (The ESP is omni-directional). What a difference that makes in my ability to look pro and stay focused on my audience. Now instead of the PowerPoint slides obviously being advanced by me, they look like they're being advanced by magic! Secondly, I no longer have to worry about range. I can't tell you how many rooms I've spoken in where my computer had to be put more than 40 feet from the stage. And without the ESP, someone else would have to advance my slides for me. Boy oh boy does that make you look unprofessional. The ESP has a 100 foot range and even goes through glass (which believe me, comes in handy for rooms with control rooms).
